A government landmark in downtown Salt Lake City, the 450,000 SF, 5-story Scott M. Matheson Courthouse is home to Utah’s Third District Courts, the Utah Supreme Court, and the Utah State Law Library. Hadfield Construction provided construction services for the recent remodel and reconfiguration of interior spaces associated with the Law Library. Construction included creating a breakroom and additional office spaces. Courthouse construction was planned and executed carefully so as not to interrupt courtroom proceedings. Construction schedules accommodated both the need for high-security protocols as well as “quiet” work schedules while court was in session.
